Privacy Policy
This policy explains what personal data Paul Allan Garrett ("Nene Web Studio", "we", "us") collects when you use this website or get in touch with us, why we collect it, and what rights you have over it. We're a small studio based in Northampton, UK, and we only collect what we actually need to reply to you and, if you become a client, to deliver your project.
01Who we are
Paul Allan Garrett, trading as Nene Web Studio, of 14 The Rookery, Northampton, NN4 5FY. You can contact us about anything in this policy at sales@nenewebstudio.co.uk or on 07728 588729.
02What we collect
We collect personal data only when you choose to give it to us, through the enquiry form or the instant estimate tool on this site. That may include:
- Your name and email address
- Details about your project — the type of website, pages, features, and any budget or timeline information you share
- Any other information you include in a message to us
We don't use analytics or tracking cookies on this site, and we don't collect payment or card details through the website — those are handled separately, directly with you, once a project is agreed.
03Why we collect it, and our legal basis
We use your data to reply to your enquiry, put together a quote, and — if you go ahead — to deliver and invoice your project. Our legal basis for this is legitimate interest (responding to enquiries you've chosen to send us) and, once you become a client, performance of a contract with you.
04Who we share it with
Enquiry and estimate form submissions are processed through Formspree, a third-party form service based in the United States, which delivers your message to our inbox. Formspree acts as a data processor on our behalf and maintains its own GDPR compliance measures, including standard contractual clauses for international transfers. We don't sell, rent, or otherwise share your data with anyone else.
05How long we keep it
If you enquire but don't become a client, we keep your message for up to 12 months in case you get back in touch, then delete it. If you become a client, we keep project-related correspondence and invoices for as long as required for UK tax purposes (currently 6 years), as required by HMRC.
06Your rights
Under UK GDPR, you have the right to:
- Ask what personal data we hold about you, and get a copy of it
- Ask us to correct anything that's inaccurate
- Ask us to delete your data, where we're not required to keep it for legal reasons
- Object to how we're using your data, or ask us to restrict it
To exercise any of these, email sales@nenewebstudio.co.uk. If you're not happy with how we've handled your data, you can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO), the UK's data protection regulator.
07Cookies
This site doesn't use analytics, advertising, or tracking cookies. Fonts are hosted directly on this site rather than loaded from a third party, so no data is sent elsewhere just by visiting.
08Security
We take reasonable steps to keep your data secure, including relying on Formspree's own security measures for form submissions and keeping direct access to enquiry data limited to the people running this business.
09Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time, for example if we start using a new tool that handles personal data. The "last updated" date at the top will always reflect the latest version.
