Terms & Conditions
These terms apply to any website project agreed with Paul Allan Garrett, trading as Nene Web Studio ("we", "us"). By paying a deposit or otherwise instructing us to start work, you ("the client") agree to these terms.
01Quotes & estimates
Any price shown by the instant estimate tool on this site is a rough guide only, based on typical projects of that size and scope — it is not a fixed quote and is not binding on either party. A fixed price is only agreed once we've discussed your project and confirmed the scope in writing, by email or in a written quote.
02Payment
Unless otherwise agreed in writing, projects are billed as 50% deposit to begin work, with the remaining 50% due on completion, before the final site is handed over or made live. Ongoing services (maintenance, hosting, Google visibility care) are billed separately, in advance, on the agreed schedule.
03The project process
Projects generally run through discovery, design, build, and launch, as described on our website. We'll agree the number of revision rounds included as part of your quote before work starts; further rounds beyond that are billed separately at the rate confirmed in your quote.
04Content you provide
You're responsible for making sure any text, images, logos, or other material you give us to use on your site is accurate and that you have the legal right to use it. We're not liable for any claim arising from content you've supplied to us.
05Ownership
Once a project is paid for in full, you own the final website design and content created specifically for you. We retain the right to reuse general code, components, and techniques developed during the project in other work, and to display the completed project in our own portfolio and marketing, unless you ask us in writing not to.
06Hosting & domains
Unless you've taken out an ongoing maintenance plan with us, you're responsible for your own domain registration and hosting costs and renewals once your site is live. We're not liable for downtime or issues caused by your hosting provider or domain registrar.
07Timeline
Typical projects take 2–4 weeks from the start of design to launch, depending on scope. This depends on receiving content, feedback, and approvals from you in reasonable time — delays on your end may extend the timeline accordingly.
08Cancellation
If you cancel before any work has started, your deposit will be refunded in full. Once work has started, the deposit covers time already spent and is non-refundable, but we'll provide whatever work has been completed up to that point.
09Liability
Our liability for any project is limited to the total fees you've paid us for that project. We're not liable for indirect or consequential losses, such as loss of profit or business. Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud.
10Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and any disputes will be handled by the courts of England and Wales.
